Contenders Arrive in Egypt for Port Said Int’l Quran Contest

IQNA – All of the Quran memorizers scheduled to take part in this year’s international Quran competition in Port Said have arrived in the Egyptian city.

Contestant arrive in Port Said, Egypt, for international Quran competition

 

The 7th edition of the international Quranic event is slated to be held in Port Said, north of Egypt, on February 2-6.

According to Port Said Governor Adel Mohamed Ibrahim Yousef Al Ghadhban, the contestants in this edition are from 50 countries.

He said efforts have been made to provide all of the necessary facilities to the participants.

Adil Muslihi, the competition’s executive director, said the contenders have been accommodated in the city’s main hotels.  

The competition has been organized in the category of memorization of the Holy Quran with support from Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
