Iran President Offers Condolences on Death of Ramadan Abdullah

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani expressed condolences over the death of former head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement Ramadan Abdullah Shalah.

 

In a message on Monday, Rouhani descried Shalah as a noble thinker and fighter on the path of the struggle against the Zionist regime.

The Iranian president said Shalah spent his life in defending and supporting the cause of the oppressed Palestinian nation and his efforts will light the path of future generations in the field of Jihad and resistance.

Ramadan Abdullah died who led Islamic Jihad had been in coma for more than three years after heart surgery.

It wasn’t said where he died, but he is believed to have been in Lebanon. Shalah, who was born in Gaza, had led Palestinian Islamic Jihad from 1995 until 2018 after the assassination of his predecessor, Fathi Shaqaqi.
