Seven Qaris who made it to the final round showcased their Quranic talents to win the top prize in this category.
The finalists were from Iraq, Turkey, Indonesia, Morocco, Malaysia, Germany and the Philippines.
The final round in the category of memorization of the entire Quran will be held Saturday night.
The international Quranic event kicked off at Fateh Mosque in Istanbul on Monday.
Winners will be announced and awarded at the closing ceremony on Sunday.
A total of 50 memorizers and 60 reciters from 60 countries are attending the contest.
Iran’s representative in memorization is Mohammad Reza Ahmadi while Omid Hosseininejad is competing in recitation.
The international Quranic event is annually held in the holy month of Ramadan.
