Forum about ‘Imam Hassan’s (AS) Seerah’ Held in Iraq
According to al-Kafeel website, "Seerah of Imam Hassan (AS); human graces in Quranic role models” was the motto of the program.
It was held by the Supreme Council of "Hillah; the city of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (AS)” Plan under the supervision of the Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS).
The "Sayyed Mohammad Baqer Sadr” Hall of Babil University hosted the opening ceremony of the forum on October 24.
The Human Sciences Faculty of Babil University, the Education Faculty of Qadisiyya University of Iraq, Al-Ameed Center for International Researches affiliated to the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine and Al-Murtadha Institute of Culture and Guidance cooperated in holding the forum.
The opening ceremony was attended by academic figures and representatives from religious centers and the Astans of the two holy shrines as well as students of Babil University.
Addressing the program, Hassan Ali Hilli, head of the Supreme Council of the plan, said that it is an honor for the organizing committee of the forum to take a step toward opening a specialized library featuring the Seerah of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
The library includes more than 150 research works on various aspects of thought and character of the second infallible Imam (AS).
A statement by the officials of the Astans was also read by Seyyed Adnan Mousawi, deputy of the custodian of the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine.
The statement stressed that researchers should refer to Imam Hassan’s (AS) thought as it is the origin of most of Quranic and jurisprudential sciences.
It also noted that holding such forums is only a part of the responsibility of the Astans to get university students familiar with the noble character of Imam Hassan (AS) and clarify his Seerah.
