ISESCO to Hold Islamic Heritage Documentation Training Course

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), in association with Munazzamat al-Da’wa al-Islamiya (Islamic Call Organization), will hold the second regional training session in Khartoum, Republic of the Sudan, from 23 through 25 September 2014, on “Islamic heritage modern technology-based documentation”.


The objective is to provide participants with technical skills to use state-of-the-art technologies to build an online database of Islamic heritage, facilitate exchange of expertise and experience in this regard, explore the latest digital management tools, and discuss how to effectively use IT for heritage management and protection in the Member States.

Participants will include heritage documentation experts from Yemen, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, the Sudan, Tunisia, Algeria, Somalia, Kenya and Uganda. Source: Isesco.org
