Iranian, Egyptian Qaris Take Part in Quranic Session in Karbala
A Quran recitation session was held on Thursday in the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) in the city of Karbala, Iraq.
Prominent Iranian Quran reciter Hamed Shakernejad and Egyptian Qari Mahmoud Al-Saeed Al-Zanati took part in the Quranic event.
It was organized by the Dar-ol-Quran center of the holy shrine as part of the annual "Light of Revelation and Risala" festival.
This year's festival was held with the motto of "From Birth of Light to the Revelation of Light".
The Quranic event was also in line with the Quranic programs organized by the Dar-ol-Quran center in the month of Rajab on the lunar Hijri calendar (May 1-29).
The programs began on the 13th of Rajab (birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) and will continue until Tuesday, the 27th of Rajab, marking the Mab'ath (call to prophethood).
