Bavarian Princess Arrested for 'Killing Muslims' Remark
Princess Theodora Sayn-Wittgenstein of Bavaria has been arrested by police in Scotland after she made offensive remarks about 'killing Muslims' in a spat at a St Andrews University charity event at the weekend.
She had been charged with making the racially aggravated remarks to a Muslim woman by the name of Farah Hussain during the event, as well as other charges of aggravated behavior including insulting police officers and assault.
She had been visiting Scotland from Bavaria, Germany, and was due to fly home on Sunday. Police later released her on bail and set her trial date for July.
Her lawyer claimed that the 27-year-old princess plans to return to Germany while she awaits trial.
The princess denied the charges put against her.
