Seyed Javad Sadat Fatemi told IQNA that Dehqan put up a good and flawless recitation at the competition.
It was also fully in accordance to the regulations of the contest, he added.
Sadat Fatemi stressed that, considering the performance of the other contenders in the recitation category of the contest, Dehqan deserves to be announced the top winner in this category.
The Quran expert said that, the Egyptian Qari’s recitation, for instance, was good but it was not in accordance to the regulations.
The Qari from Thailand, too, showcased good talent and had good voice and Lahn in recitation, but he stated his recitation with a wrong phrase which could lead to deduction of points, Sadat Fatemi went on to say.

Representatives of 56 countries have been competing for the top prizes in the two categories of Quran memorization and recitation, in the men and women sections.
