During the visit, he toured different sections of the news agency and learned about their activities and programs.
Abu Sharif then met with IQNA’s Managing Director and acting head of the Iranian Academics Quranic Activities Organization Mohammad Hossein Hassani.
He thanked IQNA for striving to promote the Quran and expressed the readiness of the Islamic Jihad’s office in Tehran to develop cooperation with the news agency.
Abu Sharif underlined that all of the activities and understandings of Muslims should be based on the Quran and its teachings.
He noted that he is used to reading and reciting the Quran and strives to understand and interpret issues, including political affairs, via Quranic view.
Even on the issue of the move by some Arab states to normalize ties with the Zionist regime “I condemned it by referring to the Hoy Quran.”
Abu Sharif further appreciated the approaches and policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying it seeks to revive the Islamic Ummah’s grandeur and help the Ummah make progress and become the best community in the world.
He also described Iran as a base for the Islamic renaissance project and said “we are not just an ally of Iran but also a part of this project.”
Mohammad Hossein Hassani, for his part, elaborated on the missions of IQNA and the Iranian Academics Quranic Activities Organization, saying they seek to promote the Quran in their activities.
He also noted that Islamic resistance is among the main issues paid attention to in the organization and that it tries to act upon the content and teachings of the Quran.
“We are committed to (promoting) the cause of resistance” and defending Muslims’ dignity all over the world, he went on to say.
Hassani also said the organization is ready for cooperation with the Islamic Jihad’s office in Tehran.
