Mourning Ritual at Imam Khomeini Husseiniya ahead of Tasua
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and other senior officials attended a mourning ceremony at the Imam Khomeini Husseiniya (Shia religious center) in Tehran on Sunday night.
It was held ahead of Tasua, the ninth day of Muharram and the day before Ashura, which marks the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (AS), and his companions in the 680 Battle of Karbala.
