Solutions to Muslim World Problems Can Be Found in Quran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Quran and Etrat deputy of Iran’s Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry said solutions to the problems facing the Muslim world can be sought from the Holy Quran.

 

Abdul Hadi Feqhizadeh, who is also the president of the 27th Tehran International Quran Exhibition, made the remark at the opening ceremony of the expo’s international section on Monday evening.

He said the main issue of the Muslim world is that of conflicts and disputes and one should resolve them in the light of the unity-seeking approach to the Quran.

Feqhizadeh underlined that the Holy Quran is the pivot of unity in the Islamic Ummah and that Iran seeks to hold dialogue with Muslim countries to reach understanding in light of the Quranic teachings.

A number of Quranic, religious, and political officials as well as foreign envoys were present at the ceremony.

Pakistan’s ambassador to Iran, Iraq’s cultural attaché, and representatives from India, Bahrain, Palestine, Nigeria, Yemen, Cameroon, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Oman and Ivory Coast were among the foreign guests.

Also addressing the function was Mahmoud Vaezi,, the head of the international section, who noted that the expo has been mounted by the Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry.

He added that Pakistan is the special guest in this year’s exhibition and that the head of the research center of Tunisia’s Al-Zaytoonah University and head of Malaysia’s Quran Printing Institute are attending the Quranic event.

The 27th edition of the exhibition is underway at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) here in the Iranian capital until May 24.
