TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quranic society for the visually-impaired will be established in Iran.


The decision to found it was taken by the officials in charge of a Quranic event held in Tehran to selected the country’s representatives in this year’s international Quran competition for the visually-impaired.

They underlined the need for participation of visually-impaired Quran activists in committees that make decisions for Quranic programs and activities of the blind.

The society will first and foremost pursue the Quranic demands of the visually-impaired Quran activists.

Twelve blind Qaris and Quran memorizers are attending the Quranic event here in the Iranian capital.

The country’s representatives in the recitation and memorization categories of the upcoming international Quran competition will be selected from among them on Tuesday.
