TEHRAN (IQNA) – The second edition of a Quran competition for those with hearing disabilities in Kuwait will be held by Almanabr Quranic Association in the holy month of Ramadan.


According to al-Watan website, Osam Falij, secretary of the association, said that the Sports Club for the Hearing-Impaired in Kuwait City and a number of charitable people have contributed to holding the competition.

He added that the participants will compete in two groups of male and female in the categories of memorization of the 30th Juz (part) of the Quran, a quarter of the 30th Juz and Surah Fatiha, Ikhlas, Falagh and Nas.

He went on to say that the competition will begin on June 5 and that 10 top participants will be awarded in a ceremony after Eid Al-Fitr.

Promoting the Quranic skills of the children with hearing impairments is the main objective of the competition, which will be organized as a part of the “Mawahib Al-Qulub” Project in Kuwait.
