Egyptian Quran Master in Iran for Special Recitation Course
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Egyptian Quran master has been in Iran to teach a specialized Quran recitation course named Iqra, an official said.
Speaking to the Quran Radio, Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani, director of communications and international affairs at the Supreme Council of Quran, said that Sheikh Mohamed Osfour has so far finished teaching in seven such courses in Iran.
The last Iqra course was held in the city of Yazd, central Iran, he noted.
Those passing the courses successfully receive certificates with which they, themselves, can teach such courses, he said.
According to Mirzajani, 34 Iranian Quran recitation and memorization masters have received the certificates.
He went on to say that Sheikh Osfour will stay in Iran for two years to hold Iqra courses in different provinces.
