Distribution of Quran Copies in 15 African Countries
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Awqaf department of Mihr in Turkey’s Konya province said it will hand out 21500 copies of the Quran in 15 African countries.
According to Anadolu Agency, the distribution of the Qurans is part of a plan titled "Quranic Brotherhood in Africa”.
Igul Ardam, the director of the department, said the plan aims to support those in Africa who want to read the Quran.
A truck carrying the 21500 copies of the Quran left the city in a ceremony on Thursday.
The Awqaf department is affiliated to Turkey’s Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet).
