“Women’s Rights in Islam” Conference Held in Yemen

-- Yemeni Women’s Association on Monday held a conference on “Women’s Rights in Islam” in “Albeiza” Province, southeast of Yemen, Saba news agency reported.
Among the lectures presented at the one-day event were “Women’s Rights in Islamic Legislation” by “Abd-ul-Karim Khalaf”, head of the Islamic Research Department of “Albeiza” Training Faculty, as well as “How to Avoid Family Disintegration” by Allameh “Atigh Abdullah Al-Hamid”, member of Yemen Scholars Association.

Talking to IQNA, “Iman Abd-ul-Rahman Al-Reza”, head of Albeiza Women’s Association, said that the conference sought to familiarize Muslim women with women’s commitments, duties, roles, and rights based on Islamic and Quranic rules and principles.
It also aimed to urge a proper political, social, and economic status for women in Islamic societies.
