Lebanese Cleric Hails Iran’s Role in Supporting Islamic Seminaries

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Speaker of the Supreme Lebanese Shia Assembly, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, lauded Iran for its role in supporting Shia seminaries and religious centers.

 

In a meeting in Beirut with a delegation from Qom Seminary’s Supreme Quran Interpretation Assembly, Sheikh Qabalan said the Islamic Republic’s efforts in promoting religious sciences and protecting Islamic sciences’ heritage are commendable.

He further underlined the need for Muslims to act upon the teachings of the Quran.

The cleric also highlighted the importance of teaching the interpretation of the Quran and contemplating its teachings.

The Holy Quran is the constitution of the Muslim Ummah (community) and source of Muslims’ power, he went on to say.
